TUESDAY EVENINGS

 

2nd, 9th, 16th December. TWO WEEK BREAK. 6th, 13th, 20th January 2026.

 

 

Times - 19.30 - 21.30 - you are welome to arrive to set up from 19.15.

Location – 13 Blundells Road, Tilehurst, Berkshire, RG30 4TR – please follow signs upon arrival andmake your way to the rear of the house and the sewing workshop

Costs – £160 for the full six week block

 

 

The equipment you will be expected to bring each week is listed in the course details below; whichever fabric you decide on (I can provide fabric at £15 per meter if required), please ensure it is washed and dried however you intend to wash and dry the finished garments (in my house, that’s a40 wash and a tumble dry!) so that any shrinkage occurs before all your hard work!

Below is the syllabus but you will be working on your own project so tutorage will be based on your requirements and prior knowledge. At the bottom of the page is the equipment you will be expected to bring each week.

 

Required equipment:

 

All Weeks – sewing machine, sewing machine instruction manual(s), overlocker (optional), threads, bobbins, scrap fabric

 

Week One and Two – Trousers –

 

You will have the choice of either leggings or pyjama style trousers. I will provide the pattern (please let me know after booking which you would prefer).

 

Required Haberdashery – suitable fabric for your trousers.

 

Leggings: cotton lycra, cotton jersey (2m)

Woven trousers: cotton, linen, chambray (3m)

 

Week Three to Six – Your choice

 

Required Haberdashery - pattern of your choice and suitable fabric

 

Recommended patterns:

Sinclair Patterns – Harper, Valley, Linnea

Deer and Doe – Melilot, Arum, Chardon

 

Helens Closet – Ashton, Orchard, March, Cassidy
